The AFL-CIO is offering a training workshop for union members who are interested in running for public office.
Are you tired of how working people and unions have been scapegoated? Have you thought about running for public office?
Then join us on Saturday, April 29, to learn how to run for office and stand up for workers!
The Connecticut AFL-CIO, in partnership with the National AFL-CIO, is hosting a Path to Power Political Candidate Training. The training teaches union members how to run for public office to build power that will positively influence our communities.
Topics covered include:
- crafting an effective message
- creating a campaign plan
- fundraising
- how to talk to targeted voters
- building a campaign team
- and more!
This training is designed for people who might consider running for office from school board to municipal or state government.
