The BOE has listened to the concerns of teachers and authorized the formation of a new committee to examine how to revise the middle school program. This committee will have an equal number of teachers as administrators. It will be formed from:
1 teacher from each middle school (to cover the 4 core classes)
1 encore teacher
1 special education teachers
1 teacher appointed by the BFT

Ken Bagley
Rich Gagliardi
Chris Cassin
Kim Hapken
Pam Brisson
Lisa Bernable
2 6-8 principals
2 k-8 principals
We need members willing to serve on this committee and attend meetings during the summer and fall. The committee will deliver recommendations to the BOE by November 1, 2014. There have been a lot of concerns raised the last 2 years about the current program. This is the time to step up and be a part of the solution to create something better. Interested participants should contact Dave Hayes ASAP.
