The AFT Connecticut is organizing an effort this Saturday to help New York City residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy. A charter bus will leave the AFT’s office in Rocky Hill at 6:30 Am, stop at a West Haven commuter lot near Exit 42 to pick up more volunteers, then head to New York City to distribute coats, hats, gloves, and non-perishable food items. The bus will depart New York at 5:00 PM.
